What are some of the things I can do to protect myself against meningitis during Preview?

According to Thomas Clark of the CDC, the safest way to protect oneself is with the vaccine, which is currently only available to Princeton students. That being said, since you will be on campus for only several hours, you will be relatively safe as long as you take proper precautions to ensure that you do not come into close contact with other students. (Remember–vaccinated students can still be carrying the bacteria and transmit it to individuals who were not vaccinated!)

So some recommended precautions that were suggested by the University and the CDC:
    1) No sharing eating utensils.
    2) No sharing glasses.
    3) Maintaining hygienic practices.

Just be sure that you are making sure you are avoiding contact with respiratory and oral secretions of other students. I.e., make smart decisions.
